Situated along the A30 just 3.5 miles outside of Yeovil in the pretty village of West Coker, The Royal George is a traditional sixteenth century Somerset Inn with all the charm and character you would expect from a building of this age. There is a beautiful original slate floor and a real log fire for those cold winter months. Open from 12.00pm everyday, you are always assured of a warm and friendly welcome.

Food is available in either the bar or the restaurant and you can choose from a light bite/snack menu or the full menu, available both lunchtimes and evenings. There are also regularly changing specials boards. Our food is freshly prepared to order and our meat is from our village butcher who sources his produce from local farms.

At great value (£6.95) Traditional Home Cooked Sunday Roasts are very popular and booking is recommended. There is always a choice of at least two meats.

We serve Real Ales and Traditional Cider, together with a good selection of draught and bottled lagers. The Royal George has a very well appointed Skittle Alley which also acts an ideal venue for private parties and functions. There is a large car park and lovely beer garden at the rear of the pub.
